Online Shopping Addictions and Advice

First, to clarify, I don't have any suggestions on how to overcome an online shopping addiction.  The purpose of this blog is to share my favorite ways to utilize my online shopping addiction.

I spend some...time...surfing the internet.  Some might even say it's a little too much.  But I've come across a few fun websites in 2015 and wanted to share them on this poorly titled website.

1.  Stylit.  Stylit is a free website that sends you personalized outfits every Thursday.  They include everything from accessories to matching nail polish to shoes.  The whole kit and caboodle.  They send you 5 outfits and have a lot of fun sample outfits usually each week as well.  Here's an example of what it looks like.

YES PLEASE.  The only problem is that sometimes you want to buy everything.  Please note they include a lot of items from www.boohoo.com and http://www.6pm.com/.  The dresses I bought from BooHoo were all fantastic and arrived super quick and the two I bought from 6pm were both eh.  One was kind of a weird shape, wearable, but just not great and other had what I think is a very noticeable uneven hem line.  Just not a great quality.

2.  Tradesy.  Tradesy is an online consignment shop with everything from Old Navy to Burberry to Christian Louboutin.  So I haven't yet bought anything but I have sold a bunch of items.  It's really easy to do.  You take a picture, write how much you want for the item, and you can decide if you want to package it yourself, or if you want Tradesy to mail you a shipping label and package.  They remove the background to make it look pretty for you so it's very easy to get your stuff online.

I've made over a $100 since I started just selling stuff from my closet that I didn't want.  (This sounds like a sales pitch but anyway).  If you've got crap in your closet, I recommend trying to clean it out on Tradesy.

3.  Stitch Fix.  Currently, my verdict is out on Stitch Fix.  Pros: it's really nice quality stuff, it's fun to get delivered to your house, and it's often stuff you might not have picked out for yourself.  My January bag was super fun and I was disappointed I couldn't afford everything but I ended up with a fantastic pair of black jeans with fun zippers that fit like a glove.  Cons:  The jewelry I've received has been poor quality, and my February bag was potentially the most boring collection of clothes ever put together.  A PTO meeting dress, a shirt the color of steamed spinach, earrings that were already tarnished.  The lone fun piece was black and gray stretchy skirt but it was something I'd pay $25, not $70 for.  So needless to say, I'm downright giddy when that box shows up but sometimes it's a big let down.  Also, there's a $20 monthly fee whether you buy anything or not.
